Some examples of 1990s book covers:
In the mid 1980s, when her studio was based in London's East End, Phyllis worked on a freelance basis illustrating individual book covers and editorial for many well know publishers: BBC Books, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Macdonald Oprima, Piatkus Books, Women's Press, Zed Books.
Below are some of Phyllis Mahon's large illustration projects ...
COSMOPOLITAN HOROSCOPE UK 1990 (also published in the Spanish and Australian editions 1992)
Twelve large pastel drawings 56 x 65cm - all are in private collections except Aquarius which is available to purchase.
Since then Phyllis has illustrated the 12 Astrological signs twice.
Her most recent project throughout 2017 was a series of 9 images for a Danish author due to be published 2019.
AURA SOMA TAROT
New Aeon Tarot
12 Goddesses Millennium Project
Following the Tarot the next large project was a set of twelve 'energy images' to illustrate the properties and energies of each colour in the Colour Wheel. These little abstract images then became personnified into twelve goddesses and related to the twelve signs of the Zodiac. A calendar with a beautiful gold cover was printed to celebrate the Millennium and the Book followed. Again a collector's item on Amazon! Goddesses
Other Aura Soma illustration projects
