Mermaid by Moonlight (2019)
A pale-skinned mermaid sitting on the riverbank, catching the light from the crescent moon in her palm, whist the other hand points towards the water.
Although the colour scheme is mostly blue and white, I've added some subtle colours of the spectrum.
(Available unframed or framed - see below).
Painted on Indian handmade cotton rag paper.
It is a 12 x 17 inches, 210 gsm weight paper with a deckled edge; my favourite shades are muted blue, grey; these colours form the background of the image.
I have created two CGIs photographs showing how the painting might look framed with* and without the deckled edge showing.
*If you purchase this painting from me unframed and when it comes to framing, and if you prefer the deckled edge visible, please ask your framer to "float" the image to show-off the edge (see photo example); then it can be surrounded with mat/mount board as usual. (Please ensure that any artwork is kept from touching the glass and that any watercolour is not hung in bright sunlight).
N.B. Prints are also available of this image on Hahnemühle German Etching paper; editioned to 20 copies - see in my shop.
Available unframed or framed.
Please note the "framed" photo is a CGI to show what it looks like room-size with a dark frame ...
Unframed will be wrapped in acid-free tissue and sent by Tracked Delivery.
Framed will be professionally framed to your choice of pale, black or gold wood, (or please email to discuss) with acrylic glass for ease and safety in transit.
